Four Ivies Earn Berths Into NCAA Women's Rowing Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Adding to a year already covered in national athletics success, four Ivy League women's rowing programs have earned berths to the 2024 NCAA Women's Rowing Championship.

No. 4 Princeton, No. 5 Yale, No. 8 Brown and No. 11 Penn — all nationally-ranked in the latest national poll — are set to take on a loaded field May 31 through June 2 on Harsha Lake in Bethel, Ohio.

Princeton, which won its sixth straight Ivy League Championship, earned the League’s automatic qualification, while Brown, Penn and Yale earn three of the 11 at-large bids.

At last year's NCAA Championship in New Jersey, the league saw four programs finish in the top-7 for just the second time in the league’s history.

The team championship is composed of 22 teams. Eleven conferences were awarded automatic qualification and the remaining 11 slots were filled with at-large selections to complete the championship field. Teams qualifying for the championship are required to field two boats of eight rowers and one boat of four rowers. For the I Eights, II Eights and Fours, all 22 boats will be seeded into four heats.
