PRINCETON, N.J. -- Four Ivies reaped postseason recognition from USCHO—including the national Rookie of the Year.
Princeton freshman forward
Sarah Fillier was named the
USCHO Rookie of the Year, while Cornell junior defender
Jaime Bourbonnais (First Team), Fillier (Second Team) and Cornell junior defender
Micah Zandee-Hart (Third Team) were
selected as All-USCHO student-athletes.
Fillier and Harvard freshman goaltender
Lindsay Reed were also
listed on the six-member USCHO All-Rookie Team.
Fillier was the first student-athlete to claim both Player and Rookie of the Year honors in the same season in Ivy League women’s ice hockey. She was also named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year and First Team All-League after concluding her freshman campaign with 57 points—via 22 goals and 35 assists. The freshman, whose 1.97 points per game and 1.21 assists per game led the nation, adds USCHO Rookie of the Year, Second Team All-USCHO and USCHO All-Rookie Team honors to her AHCA Rookie of the Year and CCM/AHCA Second Team All-America recognition.
Bourbonnais was the ECAC Hockey Best Defenseman and the Big Red’s lone First Team All-League pick after a junior campaign that included 29 points—via nine goals and 20 assists. She concluded the year ranked fourth among defensemen with .91 points per game. The junior adds First Team All-USCHO to her CCM/AHCA Second Team All-America nod.
Zandee-Hart who gave Cornell one of the nation’s top defensive tandems alongside Bourbonnais earned Third Team All-USCHO honors following a junior season that included 21 points—via four goals and 17 assists. The Third Team All-League defender in ECAC Hockey concluded the season ranked 13th among defenders with .66 points per game.
Reed, a Second Team All-League net-minder and Rookie Team member in ECAC Hockey, joined Fillier on the USCHO All-Rookie Team. She finished her freshman campaign with a .940 save percentage—third nationally—and a 2.18 goals against average.
Fillier and Bourbonnais were each unanimous First Team All-Ivy selections in 2018-19. Reed joined the pair on the First Team, while Zandee-Hart was a Second Team All-Ivy recipient.
