PRINCETON, N.J. -- No. 6 Cornell upended Harvard earlier this afternoon in Cambridge to claim the outright 2024-25 Ivy League women's ice hockey title.
It is the Big Red's second consecutive crown after earning the 2024 title last year and 17th league crown all-time.
Cornell's run through Ivy Ivy League play this season is even more impressive given the depth of the conference schedule this year. The Big Red are currently slated in the No. 6 spot of the national ranking with Princeton at No. 13. Yale and Brown are both receiving votes in this week's poll leaving four the six teams seeing their names in this week's rankings.
Now turning their attention to ECAC play and securing a spot in the NCAA Tournament, Cornell currently sit third in the ECAC standings, only a game out of first place. Princeton and Yale sit in a tie for sixth while Brown trails just a point and a half behind.
The NCAA Tournament Selection show is set for Sunday, March 9.
