PRINCETON, N.J. – One night after the Ivy Madness field was finalized, Columbia, Penn, Princeton and Yale earned Saturday victories to close out the weekend slate.
COLUMBIA 59, BROWN 56
Columbia picked up a 59-56 road win over Brown at the Pizzitola Sports Center. With the game tied at 54 with just over two minutes remaining, Perri Page converted an old-fashioned three-point play to give the Lions the lead, and Brown was unable to draw even the rest of the way. Riley Weiss led Columbia with 19 points, while Page added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Columbia improved to 20-6 overall and 11-2 in Ivy League play, while Brown fell to 16-9 overall and 8-5 in conference action.
NO. 25 PRINCETON 62, HARVARD 49
Princeton pulled away in the second half to secure a 62-49 road win at Harvard. After leading by five at halftime, the Tigers extended the margin to double digits by the end of the third quarter. Fadima Tall led Princeton with 19 points, nine rebounds and four steals as the Tigers shot 47 percent (24-of-51) from the field and committed just 12 turnovers. Princeton improved to 23-3 overall and 11-2 in Ivy League play, while Harvard slipped to 16-10 overall and 9-4 in conference action.
PENN 89, DARTMOUTH 66
Penn rolled to an 89-66 win at Dartmouth behind a high-powered offensive performance at Leede Arena. Simone Sawyer led the Quakers with 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting, while Tina Njike added 19 and Mataya Gayle scored 16. Penn shot nearly 60 percent from the field in the victory. The Quakers improved to 16-10 overall and 6-7 in Ivy League play, while Dartmouth dropped to 10-16 overall and 1-12 in conference action.
YALE 57, CORNELL 45
Yale earned a 57-45 win over Cornell at John J. Lee Amphitheater as two Bulldogs posted double-doubles. Kiley Capstraw finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Mary Meng recorded 12 points and 11 boards. Yale’s defense set the tone early, holding Cornell to just three field goals in the first quarter and two in the second. Yale improved to 7-19 overall and 3-10 in Ivy League play, while Cornell fell to 8-18 overall and 3-10 in conference action.
