ITHACA, N.Y. – No. 1 Princeton and No. 3 Harvard earned semifinal victories Friday at Ivy Madness and will meet in the Ivy League Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship Game on Saturday, March 13 at Newman Arena. Tip-off on ESPNU is set for 5:30 p.m. with an NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament automatic bid on the line.

No. 1 PRINCETON 65, No. 4 BROWN 51 Princeton advanced to the Ivy Madness championship game with a 65-51 win over Brown in the opening semifinal. The Tigers jumped out to a 21-3 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, shooting 23-of-55 from the field and knocking down nine three-pointers in the win. Brown caught fire coming out of halftime, however, hitting six three-pointers to open the second half — including five in just over two minutes — to cut into the deficit, but the Tigers responded to maintain control down the stretch. Madison St. Rose led Princeton with 18 points, while Ashley Chea added 12 and both Fadima Tall and Skye Belker finished with 11 points. With the win, Princeton returns to the Ivy League Tournament championship game for the seventh time in program history.

No. 3 HARVARD 67, No. 2 COLUMBIA 65 (OT) Harvard advanced to the Ivy Madness championship game with a 67-65 overtime win over Columbia in a thrilling back-and-forth semifinal that featured 12 lead changes and four ties. The teams traded runs throughout the night, with neither side able to create separation as the game remained tight into the final minutes of regulation. Columbia forced overtime after erasing a late deficit, but the Crimson delivered the key plays in the extra period to regain control. Harvard made enough plays down the stretch in overtime and held off a final Columbia push to secure the two-point victory. Abigail Wright led Harvard with 18 points, while Karlee White added 16 and Saniyah Glenn chipped in 12. Riley Weiss paced Columbia with a game-high 25 points. Harvard, the defending Ivy League tournament champions, is back in the tournament final for the second-straight year.
