Women's Basketball Major Awards and All-Ivy Teams Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. - Ahead of the start of the 2026 edition of Ivy Madness this weekend, the Ivy League has announced the women’s basketball All-Ivy teams and major award winners for the 2025-26 season.

Winning the 2025-26 Ivy League Player of the Year award was Columbia’s Riley Weiss. The junior took the reins of the Lions a season ago after standout Abbey Hsu graduated in 2024, and after being named First Team All-Ivy last year, she followed in Hsu’s footsteps by claiming the league’s top honor. Weiss was the top scorer in the Ivy League this season and a top-20 scorer nationally, averaging 19.7 points per game. She reached double figures in all but one game and posted 20-plus in 13 games, including seven of the last 10 games of the regular season as she helped the Lions lock up the second seed in Ivy Madness. Weiss’ most prolific performance of the season came in a win over Dartmouth, where the junior had 40 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and a steal in just 29 minutes of action.

Fellow Lion Perri Page won the 2025-26 Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year award, marking the second straight year a Columbia player took home the league’s top defensive honor. Page was a menace on the defensive end, acting as one of the top on-ball defenders in the league and anchoring a Columbia defense that is one of the most disruptive in Division I, ranking 12th nationally with 12.1 steals per game. Page alone was responsible for a league-best 2.4 steals per game, coupling that with 6.2 rebounds per game. The senior guard recorded at least one steal in all but six games this season, multiple steals in 17 games, and shattered her previous career high with eight steals in a win over Binghamton University.

Harvard’s Olivia Jones was a unanimous selection for Ivy League Rookie of the Year, becoming just the fourth player in the last 10 seasons to receive all votes for the award. Jones did a little of everything for the Crimson, helping guide Harvard to a third-place finish in the Ivy League regular season and a return to Ivy Madness. The Harrisburg, Pa., native averaged 5.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.9 steals per game. She reached double figures in scoring six times and turned in her first-career double-double with a 17-point, 10-assist effort in a win over Cornell.

After reclaiming the outright Ivy League Championship, their first since the 2021-22 season, the Princeton coaching staff, led by Carla Berube, won the 2025-26 Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year award. Berube and her staff led the Tigers to 11 weeks in the AP Top 25 this season, including a national ranking as high as No. 19. The Tigers won their last five games to claim the regular-season crown and are entering Ivy Madness ranked 23rd in the country with a 24-3 overall record, their most regular-season wins since the 2019-20 season.

Columbia was the only member to have two All-Ivy First Team selections, as both Riley Weiss and Perri Page were selected to the team. Weiss was one of four unanimous selections, joined by other Ivy Madness competitors Madison St. Rose (Princeton), Karlee White (Harvard) and Grace Arnolie (Brown). Weiss was the only repeat honoree, while Arnolie leveled up after being named to the All-Ivy Second Team a year ago.

Princeton added two Second Team All-Ivy honorees in juniors Skye Belker and Fadima Tall, who were both named to the second team for the second year in a row. Harvard and Brown each added another All-Ivy representative in Alyssa Moreland and Abigail Wright, respectively, and Penn’s Katie Collins rounded out the All-Ivy Second Team.

Additionally, one women’s basketball student-athlete from each institution was recognized for excellence in the classroom and on the court as members of the 2025 women’s basketball Academic All-Ivy team. Honorees include Beth Nelson (Brown), Fliss Henderson (Columbia), Emily Pape (Cornell), Nina Minicozzi (Dartmouth), Katie Krupa (Harvard), Mataya Gayle (Penn), Taylor Charles (Princeton) and Luisa Vydrova (Yale).
