PRINCETON, N.J. -- Ahead of the Ivy League Baseball Tournament at George H.W. Bush Field in New Haven, Conn., this weekend, the Ivy League has announced the All-Ivy Teams and major award winners for the 2025 season.
Winning Ivy League Player of the Year in unanimous fashion was Columbia’s Sam Miller. The shortstop put together an impressive offensive season, leading the Ivy League in a handful of categories. He sat atop the Ivy League leaderboard with 63 hits, 14 home runs, 51 RBI, and a 1.049 OPS while ranking second with a .350 batting average. Miller had three times as many multi-hit games as he did hitless games, having at least two hits in 19 out of 41 games. His season-high four hits came during a 4-for-6 showing against Princeton where Miller hit a home run, scored two runs, and had four RBIs.
A unanimous choice for Ivy League Pitcher of the Year, Jack Ohman made an immediate impact for the Bulldogs in his first collegiate season. The Mesa, Ariz., native made 10 starts and 11 appearances overall, going 8-0 with one complete game shutout. He pitched 66.2 innings, the third-most in the Ivy League this season, leading all pitchers in the nation with a 1.08 ERA, 0.162 opponents’ batting average and tying for the league-lead with 78 strikeouts.
Also hailing from Yale, the Ivy League Rookie of the Year was Jack Dauer. Dauer hit .311 on the season, totaling 7 doubles, 2 triples, and 5 home runs and ranked fourth in the Ivy League with 39 RBsI. The first year posted 16 multi-hit games and closing the season on a seven-game hit streak.
Leading the Bulldogs to its first 30-win season since 2017 and a share of its first Ivy League Championship since 2018, Brian Hamm and his staff were named the 2025 Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year. Hamm, who arrived in New Haven three years ago, guided Yale to a 5-win improvement in conference play, and, as it stands currently, a 12-win improvement overall. The Bulldogs lead the Ivy League in team ERA, allowing just 146 earned runs in 42 games played and rank second in runs scored, with 317 on the season. Not known for the long ball, his Bulldogs lead the league with a 0.293 team batting average and stole 88 bases, 38 more than the next closest Ivy League team.
Seven schools were represented on the All-Ivy First Team with Yale leading the way with four selections. Ohman was a unanimous selection as a starting pitcher, as was Alec Atkinson at DH. The duo was joined by Dauer and Colton Shaw for Yale’s four honorees. Penn and Columbia each had three All-Ivy First Team selections, followed by two from Harvard, and one each from Cornell, Princeton, and Brown. Penn had unanimous selections in Marty Coyne and Jarrett Pokrovsky, plus Gavin Collins, while all three of Columbia’s first team honorees, Miller, Jack Kail, and Cole Fellows, were unanimously selected. Harvard’s two selections were actually the same player as Gio Colasante made the All-Ivy First Team as a unanimous selection as a utility player/pitcher as well as a first baseman, while Jacob Faulkner, Mark Quatrani, and Mika Petersen were Princeton, Cornell, and Brown’s respective representatives.
Additionally, one Ivy League baseball student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the field as members of the 2025 Ivy League Baseball Academic All-Ivy team. Brown's Gunner Boree, Columbia's Joe Sheets, Cornell's Ryan Porter, Dartmouth’s Elliot Krewson, Harvard’s Matt Giberti, Penn's Jarrett Pokrovsky, Princeton’s Caden Shapiro and Yale’s Jeff Pierantoni were each named to the team.
