Top-Seeded Yale Captures 2026 Ivy League Baseball Tournament Title

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Top-seeded Yale defeated No. 3 Brown, 7-5, to earn the 2026 Ivy League Baseball Tournament title at George H.W. Bush ’48 Field on Sunday afternoon. Yale captured its second Ivy League Baseball Tournament championship and secured the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, marking the program’s seventh all-time NCAA appearance.

The Bulldogs completed a perfect 3-0 run through the tournament field, defeating No. 4 Columbia on Friday before taking down Brown in consecutive games on Saturday and Sunday.
Brown advanced to Sunday’s championship game by eliminating Columbia, 4-2, earlier in the afternoon.

With the title on the line, Brown jumped out to an early advantage, scoring the game’s first three runs across the opening two innings. Yale answered quickly, however, responding with seven unanswered runs to seize control of the game and never relinquish the lead.

Brown threatened with two runs in the top of the eighth inning, but Jack Ohman escaped a bases-loaded jam with a strikeout to preserve Yale’s lead. The Bears put their leadoff batter aboard again in the ninth, but the Bulldogs recorded three-straight outs to secure the tournament title.

The 2026 NCAA DI baseball selection show will be on Monday, May 25, at 12 p.m. ET (tentatively) on ESPN2, where the entire 64-team bracket will be announced.
