PRINCETON, N.J. – Following strong performances, Yale’s Alec Atkinson (player), Cornell’s Carson Mayfield (pitcher) and Yale’s Jack Ohman (rookie) earned Ivy League weekly baseball honors.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Alec Atkinson, Yale (Sr., 1B – Brookshire, Texas)

• Hit .454 and .647 on base percentage during the Bulldogs 4-0 week
• Had three RBIs, two doubles and a home run

 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Carson Mayfield, Cornell (Jr., RHP – Annandale, Va.)

• Allowed just two runs (one earned) and four hits across six innings against Michigan State
• Struck out three batters and retired 16 of the last 18 batters he faced

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

• Tossed 7.0 innings without allowing an earned run to pick up his first career win
• Struck out seven and only walked one batter
