Yale Holds Lead Heading Into Final Round of Women's Golf Championship

GREENWICH, Conn. — Better conditions saw better scores on Saturday at The Stanwich Club as Yale held on to their first round lead to lead the field heading into Sunday's final round at the Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship.

The Bulldogs shot 23-over par, 599, through the first two rounds to gain a two stroke lead over second-place Dartmouth (601). The Bulldogs have four golfers inside the top-11 as Alexis Kim and Mia Sessa are both tied for fourth.

Not far behind, the Big Green garnered a 297 for the second round behind strong rounds from Sophie Thai, Caroline Chung, and Katherine Sung. Thai shot a 73 for the second consecutive day and is currently tied for the lead at 146 (+2). Sung is in sole possession of third place at 148 (+4).

Pennsylvania stands at 31-over par, 607, while Harvard is a stroke behind the Quakers for third place at 32-over par, 608.

Princeton's Victoria Liu sits in a tie with Thai for first place at +2 for the tournament. The junior from Vancouver, B.C. is aiming to earn medalist honors once again, having done so already in 2022.
