All Six Teams Separated By Only 10 Strokes After Round One

GREENWICH, Conn. – After the first day of the 2024 Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship, Yale leads second-place Pennsylvania by just a stroke as all six teams are separated by only 10 strokes.

Round one at The Stanwich Club proved to be a difficult one with windy conditions and cold weather making the par-72, 6,149-yard course a tough test throughout the day.

Yale shot 13-over par, 301, through the first 18 holes of competition as three Bulldogs (Alexis Kim, Mia Sessa, and Sophie Simon) are all inside the Top 10 individually. Right behind, the Quakers posted a score of 14-over par, 302.

Dartmouth is not far behind, standing just three strokes back of first place. The Big Green shot 16-over par, 304, on Friday.

Columbia (+19, 307), Princeton (+20, 308) and Harvard (+23, 311) conclude the field.

Penn’s Julie Shin sits atop the individual leaderboard at one-under par, 71. Shin got off to a fast start on Friday, carding two birdies in the first three holes to sit at -2. She would go on to card three more birdies on the back nine.

Victoria Liu (Princeton) and Bridget Ma (Harvard) are tied for second at even par, 72. The duo of Katherine Sung and Sophie Thai from Dartmouth are tied for fourth at one-over par, 73.
