PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 1 Harvard Crimson men and the No. 2 Princeton women both went undefeated to claim the 2023 Ivy League fencing Round-Robin titles. In a field of 11 total nationally ranked top-10 teams, the Crimson went 4-0 while the Tigers posted a 6-0 record.

WOMEN'S RECAP
The top-seeded and No. 2 ranked Tigers defended their Ivy League crown, winning their 11th overall Ivy League championship. Princeton went undefeated in the Round-Robin for the second year in a row.
Columbia finished the weekend with a 5-1 record, registering a second-place finish. Penn (4-2) defeated Harvard (3-3) in the third-place bout, Brown was fifth at 2-4, Cornell (1-5) finished fifth and Yale (0-6) rounded out the teams.
Princeton also had two top finishers including
Maia Weintraub (14-3) in the women’s foil who defended her title from a year ago. In addition,
Hadley Husisian placed first in the epee, going 14-2 overall. Columbia’s
Nora Burke took home the women’s saber title, posting a 16-1 mark, going undefeated through her first five rounds.

MEN’S RECAP
Harvard, the nation’s top-ranked team, went on to claim its 12th Ivy League Fencing Round-Robin title and first since 2020. The Crimson went a perfect 4-0 to take home the trophy.
In a winner-take-all bout, Harvard took down the defending champion Columbia Lions by a score of 16-11. Harvard won in saber, 7-2 and in foil, 5-4.
The runner-up Lions went 3-1 on the weekend, followed by Princeton (2-2), Penn (1-3), and Yale (0-4).
The Crimson also took home two individual titles, as
James Chen won in the foil and
Filip Dolegiewicz won in the saber. Princeton’s
Tristan Szapary was the top finisher in the epee.
