PROVIDENCE – No. 1 Princeton women and No. 2 Columbia men both went undefeated to claim the 2022 Ivy League Fencing Round-Robin titles against a field that featured 11 nationally-ranked teams. The Tigers went 6-0 and the Lions posted a 5-0 mark.

Top-ranked Princeton women’s fencing claimed its first outright title since 2017 and its 11
th overall title in program history. The Tigers went a perfect 6-0 through the two-day event to claim the title.
Columbia and Harvard finished tied for second with matching 4-2 marks followed by Penn (3-3), Yale (3-3), Cornell (1-5) and Brown (0-6).
Princeton sweep all three of the individual titles on the women’s side.
Chloe Fox-Gitomer went 12-2 overall to win the saber title.
Maia Weintraub earned 12 wins to take home the foil title.
Jessica Lin earned the epee title with a 12-2 record.
The top three finishers in each weapon were honored as First-Team All-Ivy with fencers finishing 4-6 earning Second-Team Accolades. In saber, Princeton's

Columbia went undefeated to claim its seventh Ivy League Fencing Round-Robin title in the past eight years and its 41
st title in program history. The Lions will went a perfect 5-0 to earn the crown.
The Lions narrowly defeated Princeton, 14-13, in the fourth round of action and kept the momentum going through the final matchup against Penn.
The 2020 Ivy League Round-Robins champion Harvard went 3-1 to finish second followed by Penn (2-2), Princeton (1-3) and Yale (0-4) to round out the standings.
Harvard's
Michael Saron earned the top finish in the saber. Columbia's
Ashton Daniel placed first in the foil.
Eliot Herbst of Penn claimed the epee title.

Zachary Johnson of Princeton and Chris Walker of Columbia were named the second-team in saber. Penn's Blake Broszus, Harvard James Chen, Penn's Bryce Louie, Princeton's Mohamed Hamza and Penn's Eric Yu made up the foil team. Harvard's Jonas Hansen, Michael Bissinger and Tristan Szapary of Princeton, Penn's Emon Daroian and Yale's Theodore Vinnitchouk in epee.
