Women's Ice Hockey All-Ivy, Postseason Awards Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Cornell swept the Ivy League women’s ice hockey postseason awards following a vote of the League’s six head coaches.

Cornell junior goaltender Lindsay Browning was named the Player of the Year, Big Red freshman forward Izzy Daniel was dubbed the Rookie of the Year and Cornell head coach Doug Derraugh was selected as the Coach of the Year.

Browning helped Cornell to a 10-0-0 Ivy League mark, compiling a 0.52 goals against average and a .968 save percentage in League play. The Penfield, N.Y., product owns a national-best 0.80 goals against average on the season.

In his 15th season at the helm of the Big Red program, Derraugh earned his fourth-straight Coach of the Year nod. He led Cornell to an unblemished 10-0-0 record in League play, outscoring their Ivy League opponents 51-6 to earn their third League title over the past four seasons and 15th all-time. The Big Red also clinched their second-straight ECAC Hockey regular-season crown with a 19-0-3 mark in conference action.
