Ranked Ivies Return to Ice, Including Top 10 Clash for No. 8/8 Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. -- All three ranked Ivies are in action this week, including a Top 10 clash for No. 8/8 Princeton in ECAC Hockey play. No. 3/3 Cornell looks to maintain the nation’s last unbeaten mark against non-conference opposition. 
 
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
  • BEAT THE STREAK — No. 8/8 Princeton will aim to halt the nation’s longest unbeaten streak when it hosts No. 5/5 Clarkson for a Top 10 clash in ECAC Hockey play at 6 p.m. Friday. The Golden Knights boast a 7-0-3 mark over the past 10 games and sit 10-1-3 on the year. Princeton is 7-2-0 on the season, behind the nation’s second-best special teams units. The Tigers own a 60.3 combined special teams percentage, trailing only reigning national champion Wisconsin’s 67.0 percentage.  
  • LAMP LIGHTERS — The Ivy League is home to three of the top four goal scorers in the nation, with Cornell senior forward Amy Curlew (1.00 goals per game) and Harvard sophomore forward Anne Bloomer (1.00 goals per game) pacing the nation alongside Clarkson’s Elizabeth Giguere and Princeton senior forward Carly Bullock (0.89 goals per game) sitting fourth in the country. 
  • STAY UNBEATEN — No. 3/3 Cornell will put the nation’s last unbeaten mark on the line when it visits Syracuse at 7 p.m. Tuesday in non-conference action. The Big Red are 7-0-1 on the year, including a 3-0-1 mark against ranked opponents. Cornell is outscoring its opposition by a 3.62 goal margin, while allowing a national-low 0.50 goals per game. 
  • WEEKLY HONORS — Princeton’s Sarah Fillier (Player) and Solveig Neunzert (Rookie) earned ECAC Hockey weekly honors on Nov. 18. The Ivy League has accounted for 10-of-12 ECAC Hockey weekly honors since its season opener on Friday, Oct. 25. Princeton’s Fillier was also named the NCAA Second Star of the Week on Nov. 19.
