Complete 2018 Ivy League Fencing Round-Robin Results 

PRINCETON, N.J. - After a vote by the six Ivy League men’s fencing coaches, Penn’s Andy Ma and Harvard’s Peter Brand have been named Co-Ivy League Coach of the year.
 
Ma and Brand led Penn and Harvard to a share of the 2018 Ivy League Fencing Championship. Penn, Harvard and Columbia shared the title with matching 4-1 marks.
 
Ma guided Penn to its 17^th Ivy title in program history and the fourth time that the Quakers have won in the last 10 years. This is the third consecutive year Ma has earned the honor.
 
Penn’s Justin Yoo was the individual champion in the men’s epee after registering a 10-4 mark. Yoo narrowly edged teammate Jake Raynis for the title. Julian Merchant and Andrew Sun led the way in the men’s saber, finishing third and fifth, respectively. Merchant went 11-4 and Sun finished 9-5. Willie Upbin went 10-5 to finish in a six-way tie for second place in the foil.
 
Brand, in his 18^th season at the helm, guided the Crimson to its 10^th Ivy League title in program history after previously clinching the championship for three straight years from 2013-15. The Crimson has now won five Ivy Championship in the last decade.
 
Harvard finished the tournament with two squad members at the top of the pack, winning two individual crowns. Freshman Geoffrey Tourette took home the individual title in foil and led the way for Harvard across the tournament with a perfect 15-0 record and plus-46 touch differential. Junior co-captain Eli Dershwitz, the 2016 NCAA Champion in sabre, topped all sabre fencers with a 14-1 record and a plus-47 touch differential, sealing his spot to take home the individual title.
 
As announced on Sunday at the Round-Robins, the 2018 men’s fencing All-Ivy teams were selected. The top three finishers in each weapon earn All-Ivy first team honors and the next three fencers in each weapon earn second-team honors.
