Princeton Holds Narrow Lead After Opening Round of Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship

 SPRINGFIELD, N.J. – Princeton holds a narrow lead following the opening round of the 2026 Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club.
 
Just three strokes separate the top three teams after Friday’s action. The Tigers (+8, 296) hold a slight edge over Harvard (+10, 298) and Columbia (+11, 299). Penn (+18, 306) sits in fourth, while Dartmouth (+23, 311) and Yale (+23, 311) are tied for fifth.
 
Princeton first-year Thanana Kotchasanmanee holds the individual lead at 2-under par after carding an opening-round 70. Kotchasanmanee made par on each of her first nine holes before shooting a 34 on the back nine, highlighted by birdies on Nos. 16 and 18. Columbia’s Sarah Shao and Harvard’s Iris Wang are three strokes off the lead.
 
The opening round also featured a pair of aces. Harvard’s Bonnie Zhai made a hole-in-one on the 160-yard, par-3 16th, while Yale’s Mia Sessa aced the 145-yard, par-3 12th.
 
Second-round play resumes Saturday at 8 a.m.
