Four Ivy Madness Teams Set; Brown, Harvard Clinch Final Tournament Berths

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown and Harvard clinched the final two spots in the upcoming Ivy League Women’s Basketball Tournament with wins on Friday evening, with No. 25 Princeton and Columbia continuing their strong league performances.
 
PRINCETON 97, DARTMOUTH 47
The 25th-ranked Tigers jumped out to a 24-15 lead after the first quarter and added 57 second-half points en route to a 97-47 win against Dartmouth. Six Tigers finished in double figures, including Taylor Charles who tallied a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Princeton tallied 20 steals, with Toby Nweke garnering five steals. Zeynep Ozel led the Big Green with nine points on 3-of-7 shooting. Princeton improved to 22-3 on the year and 10-2 in the Ivy League, with Dartmouth moves to 10-15 overall and 1-11 in league play.
 
COLUMBIA 68, YALE 47
Despite trailing by four after the first quarter, Columbia used a 15-0 run to begin the second half to take a commanding lead and never looked back. Riley Weiss led the Lions with 26 points in 27 minutes of action and the Columbia defense limited Yale to just one made three-pointer on the evening. Ciniya Moore led Yale with 15 points. Columbia improved to 19-6 and 10-2 in conference play with Yale slipped to 6-19 and 2-10 in the Ivy League.
 
HARVARD 60, PENN 46
A 13-0 run to start the game set the tone for the Crimson who led wire-to-wire to clinch an Ivy Madness berth Friday at Lavietes Pavillion. Four Crimson finished in double-figures, led by Abigail Wright with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Tina Njike led Penn with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Harvard moved to 16-9 overall and 9-3 in the Ivy League, with Penn slipped to 15-10 and 5-7 in conference play.
 
BROWN 62, CORNELL 47
Brown expanded on a 29-18 halftime lead with 22 points during the third quarter to earn a 62-47 win at home on Friday to clinch the final Ivy Madness berth. Grace Arnolie netted 23 points for the Bears, while Olivia Young knocked down four three-pointers. Audrey Chen led Cornell with 14 points. Brown improved to 15-8 and 8-4 in conference play, while Cornell dropped to 8-17 and 3-9 in Ivy League action.
