Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, and Princeton Claim Saturday Night Wins

PRINCETON, N.J. — Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, and Princeton all claimed wins on Saturday night as Harvard moved into a tie for first-place in the Ivy League standings with their victory over Yale. Over the course of the back-to-back weekend, the Crimson were the only team to win both contests.

PENN 91, CORNELL 81
Penn (10-10, 3-4 Ivy) shot 55.6 percent from the field and nailed 47.4 percent of its threes in a 91-81 home win over Cornell at Newman Arena. Michael Zanoni led the Quakers with 19 points, joined by Ethan Roberts’ 17 and A.J. Levine’s 15 as Penn built a 49-35 first-half lead and maintained their advantage throughout the second half. Cornell (10-10, 3-4 Ivy) was paced by Cooper Noard’s 28 points. The Quakers broke a three-game losing skid while Cornell's three-game winning streak was snapped.

DARTMOUTH 77, BROWN 70
Dartmouth (10-10, 4-3 Ivy) shot 44.2 percent from the field, knocked down seven three-pointers and went 24-for-28 at the free-throw line in a 77-70 road overtime win over Brown. Kareem Thomas led the Big Green with 17 points, Connor Amundsen added 16 and Jackson Munro chipped in with 12. After building up a first-half lead, the Bears outscored the Big Green by 11 points in the second half to force overtime, but the Big Green responded with a 12-5 period to clinch the win. Brown (7-13, 1-6 Ivy) was paced by Landon Lewis with 21 points.

PRINCETON 80, COLUMBIA 68
Princeton (8-14, 4-3 Ivy) moved into the top-four of the Ivy League standings with an 80-68 home win over Columbia at Levien Gymnasium. Jack Stanton led the Tigers with 21 points and Jackson Hicke added 18 as Princeton built a 46-34 second-half advantage, shooting 57.1 percent from the field while knocking down 53.3 percent of its threes. Malik Abdullahi chipped in 15 points while Princeton also hit 76.2 percent of its free throws to help secure the win. Columbia (14-7, 3-4 Ivy) was paced by Kenny Noland with 20 points.

HARVARD 67, YALE 65
Tey Barbour's game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds helped give Harvard (12-9, 5-2 Ivy) a 67-65 road win over Yale (16-4, 5-2 Ivy) on Saturday night. The Crimson got 26 points from Robert Hinton and shot 47.1 percent from three (8-for-17) in addition to 12 points from Chandler Piggé. Harvared led by eight going into halftime, but Yale mounted a furious comeback in the second half, taking the lead in the closing moments before Barbour's three lifted Harvard over Yale in a back-and-forth contest down the stretch. The Bulldogs were led by Trevor Mullin’s 21 points.
