Brown's Doran, Penn's Gorriaran Claim Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards

PRINCETON, N.J. – With a few games remaining in the regular season, the race for the top four spots in next month's Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Tournament is tightening up. Individually, Brown's Avery Doran (Offensive) and Penn's Natasha Gorriaran (Defensive) earned this week's honors.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Avery Doran, Brown (Fr., A - Wilton, Conn.)
  • Matched a team-high with six points in Brown's 14-10 win over Bryant on Tuesday with three of her six points coming in the second half.
  • ?Later in the week, Doran tied her career-high with seven points and had a career-high four goals at Dartmouth on Saturday.
  • Scored the game-winning goal in the win over Dartmouth.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Natasha Gorriaran, Penn (Sr., D - Providence, R.I.)
  • Tallied four caused turnovers, three draw controls, and two ground balls against Yale.
