Ivy League Announces Women's Lacrosse All-Ivy and Major Award Winners

PRINCETON, N.J. — Following a stellar Ivy League women's lacrosse campaign that saw multiple Ivies nationally-ranked throughout the season and the conference rank as the second-strongest in NCAA RPI, the Ivy League has announced the All-Ivy teams and major award winners.

Penn and Princeton earned the major awards for this season as Anna Brandt (Midfielder of the Year), Natasha Gorriaran (Defender of the Year), and Orly Sedransk (Goaltender & Rookie of the Year) earned the honors for the Quakers. For the Tigers, Princeton claimed Coaching Staff of the Year honors while McKenzie Blake was unanimously chosen as the Attacker of the Year.

Blake earned Attacker of the Year honors following another stellar season that saw her score 66 goals and dish out seven assists while being named a Tewaaraton Award finalist. The 66 goals were one shy of her goal total a season ago, ranks eighth all-time in Ivy League history, and seventh in the NCAA this season. Blake led a Princeton scoring attack that led the Ivy League and ranked 10th in the country.

Brandt earned Midfielder of the Year honors after doing a bit of everything for the Quakers this season. The Tewaaraton Award finalist ranked among the top in a variety of statistical categories as she was second in goals per game (3.67), second in shots per game (9.33), first in ground balls per game (3.00), and fourth in caused turnovers per game (1.33).

Gorriaran claimed Defender of the Year honors after anchoring a Penn backline that finished as the third-best scoring defense in the league and the 14th best in the NCAA. Gorriaran ranked top-10 in numerous statistical categories, ranking eighth in ground balls per game (1.93), ninth in caused turnovers per game (1.20), and 10th in draw controls per game (3.47).

Gorriaran’s teammate, Sedransk, earned Goaltender and Rookie of the Year honors after leading the Ivy League in save percentage (.495) and saves per game (9.33). Sedransk’s performance in net helped Penn to the third seed in the upcoming Ivy League Tournament.

Princeton, led by head coach Jenn Cook, earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors after leading the Tigers to an Ivy League regular season title. The Tigers finished the season with a 13-2 overall record and a 6-1 record in Ivy play. Princeton was a constant presence in the national rankings and are currently fourth in the NCAA RPI.

Six Ivy League student-athletes were unanimous selections to First Team All-Ivy. Brandt, Gorriaran, and Blake were joined by Harvard’s Caroline Mullahy and Yale’s Jenna Collignon and Fallon Vaughn as unanimous selections. Brown’s Annie Burton, Dartmouth’s Maya Kendall, Harvard’s Annabel Child, Penn’s Sedransk, Princeton’s Dylan Allen and Haven Dora, and Yale’s Taylor Lane also claimed First Team honors.

Additionally, one student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the field as members of the 2024 Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Academic All-Ivy team. Brown’s Greta Criqui, Columbia's Julie Griswold, Cornell’s Ellie Horner, Dartmouth's Katina Christensen, Harvard’s Anna Andrews, Penn's Erika Chung, Princeton’s Paige Vegna and Yale's Sophie Straka were each named to the team.
