PRINCETON, N.J. — For the third consecutive season, multiple Ivy League programs earned berths to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship as both Princeton and Yale heard their names called on Sunday night's selection show.
Princeton, the Ivy League Tournament champions, have a first round matchup against in-state foe, Rutgers. The Tigers take on the Scarlet Knights at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 8 with the winner facing No. 3 Maryland in the second round.
Yale, the Ivy League regular season champions, take on Boston College in the opening round after earning an at-large berth. The Bulldogs face off against the Eagles on Friday, May 8 at 4 p.m. and would face the winner of Stony Brook/Stonehill in the next round.
Both Princeton and Yale enjoyed trips to the Elite Eight just a season ago.
