PRINCETON, N.J. – A pair of All-America performances from Princeton’s sophomore tandem of Eleanor Sun and Dakota Tucker highlighted the Ivy League’s participation at the 2025 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. A total of 10 individuals and three relays competed at the event held from March 19-22 at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Wash.
Sun (4:05.73) and Tucker (4:08.96) finished 12th and 16th in the 400-yard individual medley to earn Second Team All-America honors in the event.
Sun competed in three events, placing 20th in the 200-yard Individual medley in 1:55.91 and 32nd in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.64. Teammate Heidi Smithwick placed 30th in the 200 fly in 1:55.80.
Harvard sophomore Alexandra Bastone finished just outside the All-America threshold in both events she competed in, placing 18th in the 500-yard freestyle in 4:38.98 and 20th in the 1650-yard freestyle In 16:00.86.
Penn’s Anna Moehn was the next finisher in the 1650 free with a time 16:03.51, while her teammate Syndey Bergstrom placed 36th in 16:20.17.
The league had four representatives competing in diving events: Nina Janmyr (Harvard), Charlotte Martinkus (Princeton), Lily Horenkamp (Yale) and Gloria Lai (Yale). Martinkus was the top Ivy finisher in one-meter diving, placing 33rd with a score of 252.85. She was followed by Janmyr (38th, 249.45), Lai (246.50) and Horenkamp (45th, 240.90). Lai had the top Ivy score in three-meter diving, taking 35th with a tally of 267.60 points. Martinkus placed 39th in the event with 264.80 points.
The Tigers competed in three relays: 800-yard freestyle relay (24th, 7:06.40), 200-yard freestyle relay (28th, 1:29.46) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (28th, 3:16.57).
