PRINCETON, N.J. - Harvard University won five of six events on day three of the 2025 Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships inside DeNunzio Pool, however, Princeton University extended it’s overall team lead heading into the final day of the meet.
Harvard University junior
Sydney Lu (52.04) kicked off the evening with a win in the 100-Yard Butterfly for her first conference championship swim, while Princeton sophomore
Eleanor Sun claimed the 400-Yard I.M. title, her second championship win of the week, with a time of 4:06.22 which was just .07 shy of tying the meet record.
The Crimson swept the next four races, starting with a 200-Yard Freestyle victory from sophomore
Alexandra Bastone (1:46.33) who won her second championship race in as many nights.
Senior
Aleksandra Denisenko reached the wall with a time of 1:00.21 in the 100-Yard Breaststroke, her second career championship swim in the event, followed by an Ivy record swim of 52.13 in the 100-Yard Backstroke by teammate
Anya Mostek. The win was the junior’s third straight title in the event and fourth overall conference championship race win.
In Thursday’s final swim, Harvard’s 400-Yard Medley Relay team of Mostek, Denisenko, Lu, and
Mandy Brenner turned in a winning time of 3:33.69 to take the top spot by almost a two-second margin.
Championship competition concludes on Saturday with prelims set to begin at 11 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
