PRINCETON, N.J. — With Ivy Madness set to begin this weekend, the Ivy League has announced the regular season major award winners and All-Ivy Teams for the 2024-25 season.
Harvard’s
Harmoni Turner claimed Player of the Year honors. Turner, the 2021-22 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, is the 17
th player in the 50-plus year history of Ivy League women’s basketball to win both the Ivy League Rookie and Player of the Year awards during her career and the first to do so since Princeton’s Bella Alarie. Turner averaged a league-high 21.9 points per game in conference play, adding 6.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. Turner was the driving force behind one of the best seasons in Harvard's program history, earning Ivy League Player of the Week five times and being named to multiple national watch lists.
Katie Collins was a unanimous choice for 2024-25 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, helping Penn secure the fourth seed in Ivy Madness. Collins did a little of everything for Penn, averaging 10.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and a league-leading 1.4 blocks per game. She reached double-digit points nine times in Ivy League play and had double-doubles against Cornell, Yale, and Dartmouth. Active on the defensive end, there was not a single game in which she did not record either a steal or a blocked shot, with arguably her top performance coming in a late-season game against Yale where she had five blocks and two steals to go along with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.
The 2024-25 Defensive Player of the Year Award winner was Columbia’s
Kitty Henderson. Henderson, a senior guard out of Australia, wreaked havoc for opposing offenses with her on-ball attack and defensive pursuit. She led the Ivy League with 2.8 steals per game and ranked sixth in rebounding, pulling down 6.2 rebounds per game from her guard position. Henderson recorded one or fewer steals in just three Ivy League contests while conversely having nine conference games in which she had three or more steals.
Columbia’s coaching staff was named the 2024-25 Coaching Staff of the Year, the third-straight year Columbia and head coach
Megan Griffith have won the award. Former Lion, Griffith and her staff guided Columbia to their first-ever outright Ivy League regular season title, going 13-1 in conference play and holding a 22-5 overall record heading into Ivy Madness. Columbia opened Ivy League play on a nine-game winning streak and won 15 of their last 16 games to close out the regular season.
Turner, Henderson and Princeton’s
Ashley Chea were all unanimous selections to the All-Ivy First Team with
Riley Weiss joining Henderson to make Columbia the Ivy League’s only member to have two First Team All-Ivy honorees. Penn’s
Stina Almqvist rounded out the five-member team, making the All-Ivy First Team completely made up of Ivy Madness representatives.
Princeton added two Second Team All-Ivy honorees to the awards list with
Skye Belker and
Fadima Tall earning nods. Columbia earned a third All-Ivy honoree as well with
Cecelia Collins being named Second Team All-Ivy for a second-straight season.
Grace Arnolie of Brown and
Elena Rodriguez of Harvard rounded out the All-Ivy Second Team.
Additionally, one student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the court as members of the 2024-25 Ivy League Women's Basketball Academic All-Ivy team. Brown’s

Kitty Henderson, Cornell’s
