Princeton's Zhang, Dartmouth's Hall Earn Softball Weekly Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. –  As wins become more and more critical as the regular season begins to enter the home stretch, Princeton’s Sonia Zhang (Player and Rookie) and Dartmouth’s Jensin Hall (Pitcher) earned Ivy League weekly softball honors.
 
PLAYER AND ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Sonia Zhang, Princeton (Fr., INF – Houston, Texas)
  • Hit .636 (7-for-11) to lead Princeton in a sweep over Yale, leading the team with five runs and six RBI
  • Had three doubles and a home run to slug 1.182
  • Also drew three walks and a hit by pitch for a .733 on base percentage
  • Was 12-for-12 in the field and stole a base
  • Had hits in all four games on the week and went 6-for-9 in the series vs. Yale with all five runs scored and five of the six RBI, a homer and two doubles
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Jensin Hall, Dartmouth (Fr., P – Frisco, Texas)
  • Had another outstanding weekend in the circle for the Big Green, compiling a 0.70 ERA with 16 strikeouts and a batting average against of 0.094.
  • Hall allowed just three hits in her two game appearances to play a critical role in the sweep over Cornell, including a combined shutout in which she pitched six of seven innings
