No. 1 Princeton, No. 2 Yale Advance To Volleyball Tournament Final

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 1 seeded Princeton Tigers and No. 2 Yale earned semifinal victories, advancing to the 2024 Ivy League volleyball tournament championship match tomorrow.
 
SEMIFINAL NO. 1: No. 1 Princeton 3, No. 4 Brown 0 (25-21, 25-10, 25-16)
Brown came out hot in the first set and had a six-point lead over the Tigers twice, but Princeton recovered to take the first set, 25-21. The top seed controlled the second set, 25-10 before closing out the third stanza with a 25-16 score. The Ivy League Player of the Year Kamryn Chaney had a match-high 16 kills to go along with six digs and five blocks.
 
SEMIFINAL NO. 2: No. 2 Yale 3, No. 3 Cornell 1 ) (21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-21)
After each team won a set, Yale took the advantage after the third set with a 25-20 victory after hitting .389 with 19 kills in the frame. The fourth set was another close one as the Bulldogs put together a late rally, closing the match on a 9-3 run to advance to Saturday’s final.
