Yale Volleyball Draws No. 8 North Carolina in NCAA Tournament Opening Round

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third straight season, the Yale volleyball team will represent the Ivy League in the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship.
 
Yale (19-5) learned the Ivy League’s automatic bid following last weekend's Ivy League tournament championship and is making its 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
 
The Bulldogs will head to State College, Pa. to face No. 8 North Carolina on Friday, December 6 at 5 p.m. The winner of the match will meet the winner of No. 1 Penn State and Delaware State.
  
The tournament consists of a 64-team field, with 31 spots going to automatic qualifiers and the remaining 33 teams chosen at large by the NCAA selection committee. Matches begin with the first and second rounds Dec. 5-7.
