AUSTIN, TEXAS — For the second consecutive day at the 2023 NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships, the Ivy League came away with another national champion in addition to more All-America nods.
Similar to the first day, Harvard got the day started with a national title in the hammer throw, this time in the women's hammer throw as
Stephanie Ratcliffe broke her own Ivy League record with a mark of 73.63m on her first throw of the competition. The win gave the Crimson the hammer throw sweep for the meet as
Kenneth Ikeji won the men's hammer throw on day one.
Harvard's
Maia Ramsden advanced to the finals in the women's 1500m run following a second-place finish in her heat. The time of 4:09.81 secured her spot in the final on Saturday.
Later in the day, Penn's
Olivia Morganti and Harvard's
Sarah Omoregie earned Second Team All-American honors in the steeplechase and shot put, respectively.
