PRINCETON, N.J. — Harvard’s
Jason Saretsky was voted Coach of the Year following the 2023 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Saretsky led the Crimson women to the program’s sixth all-time outdoor track & field title, finishing with 193 points. The Harvard women also won the cross country and indoor championships earlier this year.
The Harvard women won the meet by 33 points over second place Princeton. Last year’s champion, Penn, finished third with 118 points. Dartmouth (55), Columbia (53), and Brown (52) all finished within three points of each other as Cornell and Yale placed seventh and eighth, respectively.
Maia Ramsden gave Harvard a win in the women’s 5K (16:19.18) before later adding another conference title in the 1500m (4:12.54) to collect Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet honors.
Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet honors went to Brown’s
Lauren Yaboah-Kodie, who won the long jump on Saturday and finished second (12.95 m / 42’ 6”) in Sunday’s triple jump.
Additionally, one Ivy League women’s outdoor track and field student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and in sport as members of the 2023 Ivy League Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-Ivy team. Brown’s
