PRINCETON, N.J. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced the 2023 Blatant Lacrosse Division I All-Americans, along with major award winners on Thursday as 13 Ivies were honored by the organization.
Headlining the awards was the 2023 Ivy League Player of the Year, Cornell’s
CJ Kirst, who was named the Lt. Col. JI Turnbull Outstanding Attackman while Cornell’s
Gavin Adler earned William C. Schmeisser Defensive Player of the Year honors. Both were also named to the first team.
Kirst, a 2023 Tewaaraton Award finalist, continues to lead the nation in goals per game (4.33) and points per game (5.60) after totaling 65 goals and 84 points across 15 games. Adler, who helped lead a defense that held opponents below their scoring average 10 times over the course of the season, totaled 63 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers in 2023. Penn’s
Sam Handley was also first team honoree for the second-straight season after registering 55 points on 30 goals and 24 assists.
