National Champions! Princeton Wins NCAA Men's Lacrosse Title, 12th Ivy League Title All-Time

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Princeton captured the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse National Championship with a dominant 16-9 victory over Notre Dame on Monday afternoon at Scott Stadium, securing the Ivy League's 12th national championship, and second-straight.

After falling behind 3-0 early in the opening quarter, the Tigers completely flipped the game, rattling off 11 unanswered goals to seize full control before halftime. Princeton overwhelmed the Irish on both ends of the field during the decisive stretch, turning a slow start into an 11-3 lead at the break.

The Tigers continued to dictate play throughout the second half, never allowing Notre Dame to seriously threaten the lead while cruising to the national championship.

Chad Palumbo led the Tigers offensively with a six-point performance, while Tucker Wade, Quinn Krammer and Cooper Mueller all added multi-point outings as Princeton’s offense continued its strong postseason run. Andrew McMeekin once again controlled possession at the faceoff X, helping Princeton dominate opportunities throughout the afternoon.

Ryan Croddick, the tournament's most outstanding player, anchored the Princeton defense in goal, making key saves throughout the game as the Tigers held Notre Dame to single digits despite the early deficit.

Princeton's title wraps up another successful 2026 Ivy League men’s lacrosse season. The league earned three NCAA Tournament berths – No. 1 Princeton, No. 7 Cornell, and Yale. In all, five Ivies were nationally ranked during the regular season – Princeton, Cornell, Harvard, Yale, and Penn.

Individually, Princeton's Nate Kabiri was named a Tewaaraton Award finalist. The Tewaaraton Award ceremony is slated for Thursday, May 28 and will crown the top NCAA men’s lacrosse player in 2026.
