PRINCETON, N.J. — Following a season that included nine postseason wins from Ivy League programs, the Columbia women's basketball team looks to make it 10 on Saturday night when the Lions take on Kansas in the Postseason WNIT Championship. The game is set for 5:30 p.m. ET in Kansas' Allen Fieldhouse and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
The Lions are the first team in Ivy League history to reach the WNIT Championship having defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, Fordham, Syracuse and Harvard all at Columbia's Levien Gymnasium as well as a wire-to-wire win over Bowling Green on the road in the Fab Four.
Unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection
Abbey Hsu has led the way for the Lions in the tournament, leading the team in scoring in four of the five games while scoring 20-plus points in four of those.
Kaitlyn Davis, also a Unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection, has scored 16-plus points in her last four games and has recorded back-to-back double-doubles.
Kansas enters the Championship game with wins over Western Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Washington.
This matchup between the Lions and Jayhawks features the first two teams in the "First Four Out" of the NCAA Tournament.
This is the second straight year that Columbia has made a deep run in the Postseason WNIT as the Lions advanced to the Great Eight in the 2021-22 campaign.
