PRINCETON, N.J. – Coming off an Ivy League Championship, the Princeton Tigers were selected first in the 2023 Ivy League softball preseason poll.
Princeton collected 125 points and 13 first place votes, ahead of Harvard who earned the final three first place votes and 110 points. Dartmouth was third at 83 points, and Columbia rounded out the top four with 79 points. Yale checked in at fifth with 66 points, Brown and Cornell were tied for sixth with 39 points, and Penn rounded out the eight teams with 35 points.
Last season, the Tigers finished Ivy play with a 17-4 mark and were 27-17-2 overall. Princeton returns seven All-Ivy honorees from a year ago, including the unanimous Ivy Pitcher of the Year

The 2023 Ivy League Softball Tournament will be held at the site of the No. 1 seed on Thursday-Saturday May 11-13. The event will feature the top four teams in the league who will play in a double elimination format. The tournament champion will earn the League’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
