SARASOTA, Fla. – Brown finished eighth overall in the team standings with 88 total teams points at the 2021 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships at Nathan Benderson Park. The Bears’ have earned a top-10 finish in 23 of its 24 NCAA Championship appearances.
Brown claimed the second varsity eight petite final with a time of 6:30.915, to take seventh overall in the event. The Bears finished ahead of SMU (6:32.107) and California (6:34.107). After a brief lightening delay, Brown finished second in the petite final of the varsity eight with a time of 6:30.063. In the varsity four petite final, the Bears finished sixth with a time of 7:29.597.
Princeton, making its 24
th NCAA appearance, finished 12
th overall with 67 total points.
In the varsity eight petite final, Princeton finished fourth behind Ohio State (6:27.72), Brown (6:30.06) and California (6:32.48). The Tigers crew crossed the line in 6:32.56. In the second varisty eight C final, the Tigers finished second behind Duke with a time of 6:45.47. Princeton claimed the varsity four C final with a time of 7:27.36. The Tigers used a late push to finish 4.3 seconds ahead of the rest of the field to place 13th overall.
