PRINCETON, N.J. -- Following a successful Ivy League women’s soccer season that saw three programs ranked inside the nation’s top-20 with at least one program ranked each week, the Ivy League announces 2021 All-Ivy and major award recipients.
- Brown receives three major awards—Brittany Raphino named Offensive Player of the Year, Kayla Duran named Defensive Player of the Year and Kia McNeill named Coach of the Year
- Harvard’s Hannah Bebar tabs Rookie of the Year
- Two unanimous First-Team All-Ivy selections
- All teams with at least one representative on First or Second-Team All-Ivy squads
Closing out the regular season sitting in the top-10 in the Top Drawer Soccer weekly poll, No. 9 Brown collected three major awards. Kayla Duran was named Defensive Player of the Year, while Brittany Raphino and Kia McNeill were unanimously named Offensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively. Harvard freshman midfielder Hannah Bebar earned Rookie of the Year laurels.
Bebar’s presence could be felt throughout her rookie campaign for the Crimson as she contributed immensely to a squad that found themselves as high as No. 3 in the NCAA RPI. She played and started in all 14 games for the Crimson accumulating 20 points on the season with five goals and 10 assists. Bebar leads the Ivy League in numerous statistical categories— shots (48), shots on goal (30) and assists (10). Additionally, Bebar is ranked top-5 nationally in assists per game (.714).
Raphino played in all 15 games for the Ivy League champions, tallying a team-leading 28 points on 11 goals and six assists throughout the 2021 campaign. Her season-high three goals helped the Bears defeat Yale, 3-2, in their final Ivy match to go 7-0 in conference play for the first time in program history. Raphino tallied four pivotal game-winning goals on the year. She is ranked top-10 nationally in points per game (1.87).
Duran led a Bears defense that was impressive across the board holding their opponents to a 1.00 goals-against-average. The Bears tallied six shutouts throughout their 15-game season. Duran has played and started all games for the Bears allowing only 4 goals to be scored in conference play. She contributed on the other side of the ball as she totaled six points from one goal and four assists.
McNeill earns Coach of the Year honors for the second consecutive year. McNeill led the Bears to their 14
th Ivy League title which puts Brown in the lead for the most titles won in Ivy League women’s soccer history. Additionally, she led the Bears to their first 7-0 record in conference competition. Her squad finished 12-3 overall with an eight-game win streak. The Bears finished No. 21 in the final NCAA RPI rankings of the year after reaching as high as No. 14 during the season.
The All-Ivy First-Team saw an influx of upperclassmen add to their collegiate resumes. Ten juniors and seniors earned the honor, while one sophomore and two freshmen rounded out the underclassmen who achieved All-Ivy laurels. Junior forward

In this past Monday’s NCAA Selection Show,
three Ivy League women’s soccer teams punched their tickets to the NCAA Women’s Soccer College Cup. The Ivy League is one of eight conferences –out of 32 in Division I—with at least three teams in the tournament. Brown and Princeton will play host as Harvard will serve as a guest.
On Friday, November 12 at 6 p.m., No. 13 Princeton will host their first round game against Vermont at Sherrerd Field Class of 1952 Stadium in Princeton, N.J.
On Saturday, November 13 at 1 p.m., No. 9 Brown will host their first round match against St. John’s (NY) at Stevenson-Pincince Field in Providence, R.I.
To round out the weekend, Harvard will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. on Sunday, November 14, where they will take on Wake Forest at 1 p.m.
