PRINCETON, N.J. – After helping their teams to season-opening wins, Princeton senior attackman
Michael Sowers was named Ivy League Player of the Week and Dartmouth freshman attackman
Tommy Rogan earned Rookie of the Week honors.
The Ivy League opened the 2020 season with a
5-1 record. Eight Ivy League standouts, including Sowers, were named to the
initial Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Michael Sowers, Princeton (Sr., A – Dresher, Pa.)
- Registered 11 points in season-opening win over Monmouth
- Had four goals and seven assists in the 20-9 win
- The 11 points tied the Princeton single-game record
- Had nine of his 11 points in the first half
- One of four 2019 Tewaaraton Finalists to be named to the 2020 Watch List.

- Contributed six points in collegiate debut as Dartmouth defeated Merrimack in season-opener
- Registered four goals and two assists in win
- Scored all three of Dartmouth’s goals in third quarter to secure the victory
