Aiken, Oni Named to 2019 Lou Henson All-America Team

BOSTON – A pair of unanimous All-Ivy selections – Harvard junior guard Bryce Aiken and Yale junior guard Miye Oni – were named to the 2019 Lou Henson All-America team.

Aiken led Harvard to its seventh Ivy League title in the previous nine with a 17-10 overall record and 10-4 mark in Ivy play. The junior was a unanimous first team All-Ivy League selection, as well as a USBWA All-District first team and NABC All-Region second team honoree. The Randolph, New Jersey native averaged 22.2 points per game this season, which is the third highest mark in program history, together with 2.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per night. Aiken averaged 19 points in Harvard’s postseason run, which saw the Crimson earn its first-ever NIT win before pushing N.C. State to the brink in the second round.

Oni, the 2019 Ivy League Player of the Year, led the Bulldogs to its second Ivy League title in the previous five seasons and the program’s first Tournament Championship with a win over Harvard. Oni was recently named to Honorable Mention All-America by the Associated Press. The Northridge, California native averaged 17.1 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game, while scoring double figures in 27 of the 29 games he appeared in this season, including 30 or more points three times. Oni, a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection, had five points and five rebounds in Yale’s first-round NCAA loss to LSU.

The Lou Henson team honors the top mid-major players in the country. The 2019 Lou Henson Award, presented at the College Insider Awards event in April at the NCAA Final Four, honors the top mid-major player, selected from the list of All-America selections.
