PRINCETON, N.J. — On the final day of the Ivy League women's tennis regular season, both Princeton and Yale clinched shares of the 2026 title as both programs finished the conference season with records of 6-1. Yale earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships due to a head-to-head win over the Tigers on April 18.
Yale, ranked No. 40 in the nation, was the first team to clinch a share of the title on the day as the Bulldogs defeated Penn with a 4-1 win. After dropping the doubles point, Yale responded with four singles victories, as
Leena Friedman,
Shyla Aggarwal, Angela Huang, and
Erin Ha each earned wins. Aggarwal delivered the title-clinching moment for Yale.
The win secured the program's first title since 2013 and the ninth in program history. The Bulldogs improved to 19–3 overall and went a perfect 8-0 at home en route to the title.
About an hour later, the 39
th ranked Tigers claimed a share of the title with a 4-1 win over Brown. The Tigers started out strong, earning the doubles point before
Alice Ferlito,
Bella Chhiv, and
Madeleine Jessup won the singles points with Jessup being the one to deliver the final point.
The title is Princeton's fifth in the past six seasons and the 19
th all-time.
