PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League has announced its major award winners and All-Ivy Teams for the 2025-26 wrestling season.
 
Cornell’s Meyer Shapiro was named Ivy League Wrestler of the Year for the second consecutive season. Wrestling at 157 pounds, Shapiro posted a perfect 14–0 record, including 5–0 in Ivy League duals, and is ranked No. 1 in both the Ivy League and the nation at his weight class. The honor marks the 15th time in the last 18 seasons that a Cornell wrestler has earned Ivy League Wrestler of the Year.
 
Cornell also claimed Rookie of the Year honors for the fourth consecutive season, as Jaxon Joy was a unanimous selection. Joy compiled a 22–1 overall record at 149 pounds and went 5–0 in Ivy League bouts. He currently ranks No. 2 nationally in his weight class.
 
After guiding Columbia to its first Ivy League title since 1982, the Lions’ coaching staff, led by Donny Pritzlaff, was named the Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year. Columbia finished a perfect 5–0 in league competition and 11–3 overall, closing the season with a nine-match winning streak.
 
The Ivy League Wrestling Tournament is set for Sunday, March 9 at Columbia’s Levien Gymnasium. First-round action kicks off at 10 a.m. followed by the semifinals at 10:45 p.m. The consolation brackets begin at 12:30 p.m. with the consolation semifinals followed by the consolation finals and fifth-place matches at 1:15 p.m. Each of those sessions will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Championship matches, which begin at 4 p.m., will be aired nationally on ESPNews.
