NEW YORK, N.Y. — Eight more Ivy League and meet records were broken on the final day of the Ivy League Indoor Track & Field Championships as Princeton won both the men’s and women’s team titles.
Princeton’s women’s team was victorious in seven of Sunday’s events to finish with 188.5 points, claiming the program’s second straight Ivy title and the Princeton men’s squad made it 11 straight championships on Sunday, winning five individual events to secure a 51-point margin of victory as a team.
Women
Princeton’s
Georgina Scoot opened Sunday’s field portion of competition with a jump of 13.23 meters in the triple jump. The Tigers swept the top two spots on the podium as
Alexandra Kelly was the silver medalist with a jump of 13.14m.
Penn’s
Jessica Oji set a new Ivy League record in the shot put with a throw of 18.50m, more than two meters further than teammate
Angeludi Asaah (16.14m) who finished second overall. Princeton’s
Layla Giordano completed the podium with a third place throw of 15.99m.
Princeton also claimed the top spot in the high jump as
Alyssa Carrigan cleared the bar at a height of 1.77m. Penn’s
Zofia Limbert was a close second with a jump of 1.74m, followed by Princeton’s
Audrey Kirkutis’ jump of 1.74m to finish third in the event.
On the track, Harvard’s
Sophia Gorriaran completed the mile run in 4:43.36 to earn the individual title, followed by the Princeton duo of
Meg Madison (4:44.16) and
Maddie Cramer (4:44.51) in second and third place, respectively. Gorrarian also won the 800m race with a meet record time of 2:04.25.
The 500m run gold medal was given to Princeton’s
Maisha Atkinson who crossed the finish line in 1:09.96 for a personal-best time and Penn’s
Fore Abinusawa followed up her record-breaking day yesterday with a gold medal in the 60m dash.
Princeton’s
Hannah Riggins raced to victory in the 1,000m final with a time of 2:45.74 and teammate
Anna McNatt finished the 5,000m run in 16:13.71 to give the Tigers another gold medal on the track.
Princeton continued to rewrite the record book with an Ivy League and meet record time of 8:35.80 in the 4x800m relay while also taking the top finish in the 4x400m relay with a winning time of 3:39.12.

Men
Joe Licata of Princeton won gold in the shot put with a throw of 19.71m to give the Tigers key points in the field.
Princeton’s
Connor McCormick turned in a 4:01.34 mile run for gold, while teammate
Greg Foster set an Ivy League and meet record in the 60m hurdle with a run of 7.69.
The 500m race saw Princeton’s
Jonathan York cross the finish line in 1:01.16 to set a new Ivy League and meet benchmark, as teammate
Jadon Spain raced to gold in the 60m sprint with a time of 6.69.
Harvard’s
Charlie Ortmans ran to an Ivy League and meet record finish of 13:40.51 in the 5,000m run, followed by the Princeton duo of
Brian Boler (13:40,75) and
Jacob Nenow (13:42.79).
Cornell’s distance medley relay team set a meet record (9:41.01) in its first-place finish and Penn’s 4x400m relay team (3:09.44) also turned in a record-setting performance to finish the day.
