PRINCETON, N.J. – Cornell’s CJ Kirst (Offensive) and Dartmouth’s Mason Morel (Defensive) earned Ivy League weekly awards after their phenomenal performances in league wins over the weekend.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CJ Kirst, Cornell (Sr., A – Bernardsville, N.J.)

• Kirst scored five goals with an assist in a top-10 road victory at No. 10 Harvard on Saturday, matching the NCAA Division I record for career goals in the process (224) while also helping Cornell clinch the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Ivy League men's lacrosse tournament
• After Harvard cut Cornell’s six-goal lead to two (7-5), Kirst scored three goals in the span of 41 seconds
• Also had a pair of ground balls in the win

 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mason Morel, Dartmouth (Sr., G – Atlanta, Ga.)

• Had another sensational performance against brown with his second 20+ save effort in four games, finishing with 20 stops, allowing nine goals in a 13-9 win over Brown
• Morel stopped 9-of-11 shots in the first half to help the Big Green take an 8-2 halftime lead
