PRINCETON, N.J. – Cornell’s CJ Kirst (Offensive) and Penn’s Emmet Carroll (Defensive) were named Ivy League men’s lacrosse players of the week after notable performances.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CJ Kirst, Cornell (Sr., A – Bernardsville, N.J.)

• Kirst set Cornell’s career scoring record in a 15-10 win over No. 2 Princeton on Saturday, scoring five goals with two assists for seven points in the Big Red’s Ivy opener against No. 2 Princeton.
• Kirst scored the go-ahead goal midway through the first quarter and had three goals in the first half and two in the second

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Emmet Carroll, Penn (Sr., G – Rye, N.Y.)

• Made 15 saves in Penn’s 9-8 win over Brown for a .652 save percentage
