PRINCETON, N.J. – Penn earned a unanimous sweep of the Ivy League men’s squash postseason awards following a vote of the league’s head coaches.
Salman Khalil was voted the Player of the year,
Marwan Abdelsalam was tabbed the Rookie of the Year and Penn’s coaching staff, led by head coach
Gilly Lane, earned Coaching Staff of the Year.
Khalil posted an Ivy record of 6-0 playing at No. 1 for the Quakers. Outside of league play, he won the CSA Individual national title in January. Abdelsalam recorded a perfect record of 5-0 in Ivy play, playing primarily at No. 4 and one match at No. 2. The Quakers earned their third Ivy title in the last four seasons with a 6-0 record.
This marks the first year that there are first and second All-Ivy teams. All seven programs were represented on the teams. There were six unanimous first team selections.
Additionally, one Ivy League men's squash student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the court as members of the 2024-25 Ivy League Men's Squash Academic All-Ivy team. Columbia's
