Yale Picked To Repeat In Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. — Following a stellar 2024 season that saw three Ivies — Penn, Princeton, and Yale — win first round games in the NCAA Tournament, Yale has been picked to repeat as regular season champions in the 2025 Ivy League women's lacrosse preseason poll.
 
Yale received 13 of a possible 16 first-place votes, earning 125 votes to claim the top spot. Both Penn (107) and Princeton (102) also received more than 100 votes each as well as a combined three first-place votes between the two of them. Harvard is projected to claim the coveted fourth place in the standings which is the final spot in the Ivy League Tournament. Brown (62), Cornell (54), Dartmouth (36), and Columbia (17) rounded out the rest of the standings.
 
Heading into the 2025 season, three Ivies are ranked in the IWLCA national poll as Yale claimed the league's best ranking at number nine.

The 2025 Ivy League Women’s Lacrosse Tournament will be held at the site of the number one seed May 2 & 4. The tournament champion will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.
 
All eight Ivies are scheduled to open their seasons on February 15-16. Princeton and Yale highlight the opening weekend with matchups against nationally-ranked opponents.
