NO. 1 HARVARD (16-0, 7-0 Ivy)
Harvard, the outright Ivy League champion and defending Ivy League Tournament champion, returns to postseason play following the most successful regular season in program history. The Crimson, the nation’s lone undefeated team and No. 3-ranked squad, capped its perfect campaign with a seventh top-20 win last weekend. Four of those victories came against Ohio State, UConn, Monmouth, and UMass.
Sage Piekarski and
Martha Le Huray have combined for 23 Crimson goals this season, while in the cage,
Linde Burger ranks second nationally in goals-against average (0.61) and fifth in save percentage (0.782) with seven clean sheets.
NO. 2 PRINCETON (13-3, 6-1 Ivy)
Princeton, the nation's No 5 ranked team, enjoyed another strong regular season and, like Harvard, captured several key non-league victories over nationally ranked opponents, including Rutgers, UConn, Maryland, Northwestern, Monmouth, and Penn State. The Tigers’ defense has shined throughout the season, combining for six shutouts and seven additional games allowing just one goal. Goalkeeper
Olivia Caponiti ranks sixth nationally in goals-against average (0.88), backed by the steady leadership of defenders
Clem Houlden and
Ottilie Sykes.
NO. 3 YALE (12-4, 4-3 Ivy)
Yale had a historic season, earning its first Ivy League Tournament berth since the event’s inception in 2023. The Bulldogs, currently ranked No. 16 in the NFHCA poll, maintained a consistent top-10 RPI ranking throughout the fall and enter the tournament winners of six of their last eight contests. Yale allows just over one goal per game, while offensively,
Poppy Beales leads the attack with 12 goals on the year.
Hettie Whittington has been a force on both ends of the field, tallying eight assists and four defensive saves.
NO. 4 BROWN (10-5, 4-3 Ivy)
Brown recently climbed into the national rankings during a standout regular season that featured 10 wins. The Bears are currently ranked No. 18 with an offense that ranks 10th in the nation with more than three goals per game, with
Lexi Pellegrino (10 goals) and
Mia Karine Myklebust (8) leading the attack. Brown enters the weekend winners of three of its last four, outscoring opponents 17–7 during that stretch. The Bears clinched their Ivy League Tournament berth dramatically with an overtime goal against Dartmouth to close the regular season.
Harvard won the Ivy League Tournament with a pair of overtime victories last year — 1-0 over Brown in the semifinal and 2-1 over Princeton in the championship game. Both Harvard and Princeton advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals last season.
The winner of the 2025 Ivy League Field Hockey Tournament will earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The full NCAA field will be revealed on Sunday, November 9 at 10 p.m. on NCAA.com.
