Reed Named to Buck Buchanan Award Watch List

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown defensive back Isaiah Reed was one of 30 players named to the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List by Stats Perform Wednesday morning.
 
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the 2024 Buchanan Award will be presented after the season to the national defensive player of the year in Division I FCS college football. The award is named for legendary defensive lineman Junious “Buck” Buchanan, who starred at Grambling State as part of his Hall of Fame career.
 
A two-time all-ivy honoree, Reed was a first team selection last season after leading the league in interceptions with five. He ranked eighth in the nation in passes defended. The Tampa product registered 50 total tackles, including 32 solo stops. He was recently tabbed a second team preaseason all-American by Stats Perform. Reed was also one of 63 FCS players named to the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl 1000, highlighting the top 1000 NFL Prospects.
 
The annual Ivy League Football Media Day is slated for Monday, August 12 from 11 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. The event will be live streamed on YouTube.
 
Six Ivy League football games will air on ESPN linear networks this season. All other Ivy League home football games outside of this six-game package will air on ESPN+, while select games will also be available through a variety of regional sports networks.
