PRINCETON, N.J. — The 2024 Ivy League Women’s Lacrosse Tournament is slated for this Friday and Sunday, May 3 & 5, live on ESPN+. Following an undefeated conference season, Yale earned the right to host the tournament. The tournament will take place at Reese Stadium in New Haven, Conn.
After a thrilling regular season, second-seeded Princeton will take on third-seeded Penn in the opening game of the tournament at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 3. Then, top-seeded Yale takes on fourth-seeded Harvard at 7 p.m. The championship match with an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Tournament on the line is scheduled for Sunday, May 5, at 12 p.m. on ESPN+.

Ivy League women's lacrosse has impressed throughout the regular season as the conference as a whole ranks as the third-strongest in the nation according to the NCAA's RPI metrics, only trailing the Big Ten and ACC.
Yale enters the tournament as the number one seed and ranked eighth in the nation in the RPI. The Bulldogs captured their first Ivy League regular season title since 2003 after a perfect 7-0 record. Overall, Yale posted a record of 13-2 that included non-conference wins against Stanford, UConn, and Rutgers. The Bulldogs are led by Ivy League Midfielder of the Year
Fallon Vaughn who finished tied for second on the team with 44 points, coming from 25 goals and 19 assists. Defensively, the Bulldogs boast the top scoring defense in the league with a goals-against average of 7.87.
Following an overall record of 10-5 and an Ivy record of 6-1, second-seeded Princeton comes into the tournament ranked 15
th in the NCAA's RPI metrics. The Tigers have the Ivy League Goaltender of the Year
Amelia Hughes and also boast the league's third-best scoring offense, averaging 15.40 goals per game.
The Quakers enter as the third seed, ranking fourth in the NCAA's RPI metrics. Penn holds a record of 12-3 overall and a 5-2 conference record as the Quakers earned big non-conference wins over Johns Hopkins, Maryland, and Loyola. Ivy League Defender of the Year
Izzy Rohr leads the backline for a Penn defense that ranks as the second-best in the league.
Harvard comes into the tournament boasting one of the best offenses in the nation, averaging 16.43 goals per game which ranks sixth-best in the country. The Crimson (10-4 overall, 4-3 Ivy), are ranked 28
th in the NCAA's RPI metrics.
Previewing the first semifinal showdown, Princeton bested Penn by a score of 14-9 back on April 3. On the other side of the bracket, Yale defeated Harvard, 16-8, in New Haven, Conn., on April 13.
