Princeton Holds Five-Shot Lead Through Two Rounds at the 2024 Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship

– Princeton University closed out Round Two of the 2024 Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship with a five-stroke lead over Yale University.

The Tigers finished day two at three-under-par, 281 while holding a one-stroke lead on the Bulldogs (-2, 282). Yale and Princeton are the only two teams under par going into the final round.

Harvard is third at eight-over-par, 576 with a three-stroke lead over Columbia who is fourth at 11-over-par, 579 for the tournament.

Penn dropped one spot to fifth and is four shots back of the Lions as it sits at 15-over-par, 583 for the first two days.

Dartmouth is sixth (+31, 599) and Cornell is seventh (+33, 601) to round out the rest of the field.

Princeton’s William Huang is at the top of the leaderboard with a one-stroke lead at six-under-par, 136 while Ben Carpenter of Yale is at five-under-par, 137. Both golfers shot a 68 (-3) for the day. The only other golfer to shoot a 68 on the day was Harvard’s Brian Ma who is fourth at three-under-par, 139 through two rounds.

Carpenter isn’t the only Bulldog in the top five, teammate Robert You finished the day at two-under-par, 69 to give him a two-day score of four-under-par, 138 for third.
