Princeton Leads After Opening Round of 2024 Ivy League Men's Golf Championship

ROUND 1 INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

– Princeton leads Yale and Columbia by four strokes after the opening round of the 2024 Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship.

This year’s championship is being hosted at Watchung Valley Golf Club on a par-71, 6,923-yard course.

The Tigers shot a two-under-par, 282 through the first 18 holes of the tournament while the Bulldogs and Lions finished tied for second at two-over-par, 286.

Penn sits alone in fourth at three-over-par, 287. Harvard  (+7, 291), Dartmouth (+15, 299), and Cornell (+15, 299) conclude the rest of the field.

Penn’s Max Fonseca leads the field after a first round, five-under-par, 66. After a bogey on the first hole, Fonseca posted six birdies over his final 17 holes. William Huang (Princeton) sits two strokes back at three-under-par, 68 while Ben Carpenter and Robert You both of Yale, and Cornell’s Tyler Debusschere are all tied for third at two-under-par, 69.

Princeton’s Riccardo Fantinelli is sixth at one-under-par, 70.
